About this opportunity

The City of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee is requesting bids for on-call concrete maintenance services including removal, replacement, and repair of sidewalks; curb ramps, curbs, and driveways; and storm infrastructure and erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) items, with sealed bids due July 15, 2026 at 2:30 PM CST.

Contractors must hold a Tennessee Contractors Licensing Act license under ITCA Title 62, Chapter 6 and comply with TDOT specifications dated January 1, 2021; MUTCD traffic control standards; and ISEA high-visibility safety apparel requirements. The scope comprises 49 line items with unit pricing across rigid pavement removal, concrete sidewalk installation (4-inch), concrete driveways (6-inch), curb ramps, curbs and gutters, drainage structures, and erosion control materials. Bidders submit unit prices only; the City calculates total costs using historically used and projected quantities.

The contract term runs one year from August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with optional yearly extensions by supplemental agreement. The City will select items from multiple bidders if it chooses and reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive minor variances. Contractors must furnish payment and performance bonds and certificates of insurance (general liability, workers compensation, auto, and excess) for each work order, naming the City as an additional insurer if requested. A one-year warranty from project completion is required.

Payment is due 30 days after delivery, acceptance, and proper invoicing. The mobilization bid amount will be paid for each work order issued throughout the contract period. Bid prices must remain firm for 90 days from opening. The City anticipates selection within 10 business days of bid opening. Questions should be directed to Matthew White at mwhite@mtjuliet-tn.gov or 615-773-7957. Bids are submitted to the City Finance Department at 2425 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee 37122, and opened publicly immediately after the deadline.
