About this opportunity
Pasadena Water & Power (PWP) is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of office furniture and modular cubicles for its facilities located at 150 S. Los Robles Avenue. The procurement is a two-phase project involving furnishing and installing new or gently used high-quality modular cubicles and office furniture, with Phase I targeting a 1,200 square foot office requiring up to four cubicles within thirty days of contract signing, and Phase II focusing on a 4,300 square foot section accommodating up to fifty-four staff members between July and December 2024. Contractors must design layout configurations, deliver furniture, and complete installation, with PWP reserving the right to modify final designs. The evaluation criteria for selection is comprehensive, weighted across several categories: proposed solution (45%), experience (15%), cost proposal (30%), local Pasadena business preference (5%), and small/micro-business certification (5%). Key requirements include providing cubicles with five-foot high walls, L-shaped desks, noise-reducing partitions, and ergonomic considerations. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for March 14, 2024, at 10:00 am, with proposal submissions due by April 8, 2024, at 3:00 pm through the City's eProcurement Portal.
The solicitation includes provisions for local business participation and encourages responses from diverse vendors, with specific preferences for small and micro-businesses. Proposers must comply with local requirements such as the Pasadena Living Wage Ordinance, equal employment opportunity provisions, and various municipal code requirements. Contractors are required to complete a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) form and disclose any potential conflicts of interest, with the city maintaining the right to cancel or terminate contracts if undisclosed conflicts are discovered. The initial contract term is one year, with potential price adjustments limited to the Consumer Price Index. While specific budget allocations are not explicitly detailed, the comprehensive nature of the project suggests a significant investment in modernizing PWP's office environment. Proposers must submit detailed technical and price proposals, including layout designs, itemized furniture lists, delivery timelines, and installation plans, demonstrating their capability to meet PWP's specific spatial and operational requirements.
