About this opportunity
The City of Newark, New Jersey is seeking bids for a comprehensive Office Furniture & Installation contract (Bid #2025-53) located in Essex County, with electronic proposals due by 10:15 am on June 27, 2025. The procurement involves acquiring specific office furnishings including 24 remanufactured workstations, 6 private office workstations, 12 private office guest chairs, 1 reception desk, 4 reception seating chairs, 1 reception coffee table, and 31 surface-mounted power units for the Department of Administration/Office of Information Technology. Bidders must provide detailed specifications including manufacturer/brand information and a proposed layout for all areas, with products required to be remanufactured and of good quality. All pricing must comprehensively cover labor, materials, supplies, transportation, freight, shipping, handling, and installation, with quotes to be F.O.B. Destination and include inside delivery. The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts, selecting vendors based on lowest itemized cost and potential response time considerations. Delivery is expected during standard business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with all items subject to rigorous inspection and potential replacement if deemed unacceptable.
Vendors must complete several mandatory compliance documents, including Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran, Certificate of Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus, and comprehensive vendor submission forms addressing equal employment opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, and ownership disclosures. While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly outlined, the procurement documents emphasize non-discrimination provisions and transparency in business practices. Bidders must provide detailed information about their business structure, including stakeholders with 10% or greater ownership, and certify compliance with various municipal ordinance requirements. Although a specific budget range is not disclosed, the detailed specification requirements suggest a substantial investment in office infrastructure. Vendors must also submit a standard W-9 form and be prepared to maintain documentation for five years after contract completion. The procurement process is entirely electronic, utilizing the City's e-Procurement Portal, with strict adherence to submission deadlines and comprehensive documentation requirements.
