About this opportunity

The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) is seeking proposals from medical organizations to provide Occupational Health Services for its staff, including Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Physicals, Pre-Employment Fit-For-Duty Exams, and Annual Fit-For-Duty Exams. The EEC estimates requiring approximately 15 CDL physicals, 10 Pre-Employment Fit-For-Duty Exams, and 60 Annual Fit-For-Duty Exams annually. The selected contractor will be required to comply with various state and federal regulations and provide services in Adair County, Kentucky. Proposals are due by 3:30 PM on November 6, 2023, and the initial contract term is anticipated to be from December 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, with options to renew for up to two additional two-year periods. The EEC will evaluate proposals based on technical, cost, and oral presentation criteria, including the bidder's experience, qualifications of medical professionals, availability of office locations, and ability to provide an online scheduling/reporting system.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Commonwealth reserves the right to negotiate a fair and reasonable compensation rate and to reject any or all proposals. No information is provided on incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not include a listed budget range, but the EEC has provided estimated quantities for evaluation purposes.
