About this opportunity

Otero College, a Colorado state institution in Morgan County, is soliciting quotes for comprehensive athletic training services to support its intercollegiate athletics program through a Documented Quote with a quote submission deadline of July 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM MT and written inquiries due July 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM MT.

The scope encompasses injury prevention, evaluation, emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management for student-athletes. The provider must deliver coverage for practices, competitions, and other athletic activities with availability for evening and weekend events as needed, and coordinate with the Athletic Director, coaching staff, and other healthcare providers.

Minimum qualifications require legal authorization to conduct business in Colorado; current Board of Certification (BOC) certification and Colorado Athletic Trainer licenses for all personnel; current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; professional liability insurance; and documented experience providing athletic training services to organized athletic programs, preferably at the collegiate or secondary education level. Respondents must submit a single annual fixed price covering all labor, personnel costs, supervision, travel expenses, equipment and supplies, insurance, overhead, and administrative expenses.

The contract term runs from August 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027, with the College reserving the right to renew or extend for additional periods subject to satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability. The State will extend performance through successive one-year extension terms subject to a maximum total duration of five years from the effective date absent prior Chief Procurement Officer approval. Award will be made to the responsible respondent whose quote is determined most advantageous to the State, with price being the primary consideration.

Respondents must submit cover letters, company qualifications and experience documentation, personnel resumes and certifications, at least three professional references, completed pricing schedules, proof of insurance, and identification of any exceptions to solicitation requirements. Quotes must be submitted via email to Jennifer Johnston, Vice President for Finance and Operations, at Jennifer.Johnston@otero.edu. Award notification is estimated for July 31, 2026.
