About this opportunity
Taylor West Weber Park District is requesting proposals for design, provision, and installation of playground equipment and sports courts at Walker Creek Park in Taylor, Utah, with proposals due June 30, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and questions due June 24, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. The District may award to multiple vendors and reserves the right to conduct oral presentations at vendors' expense in early July 2026.
The scope encompasses a modular playground system for children up to 12 years old within an 80' × 100' designated area (minimum components: four-swing swingset with one mobility-accessible swing, slides, tower with play stations, two track riders, and safety surfacing); four pickleball courts with fencing and lighting; and one basketball court with six hoops designed to high school regulations. Vendors must hold current Utah licensure, carry commercial general liability insurance of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate, and maintain Builder's Risk/Course of Construction coverage. Certification from the National Playground Safety Institute, Consumer Products Safety Commission, American Society for Testing and Materials, and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance is required. All pricing must be guaranteed for 150 days from closing.
The total combined budget is $1.15 million, with expected allocation of $500,000 for playground equipment and surfacing, $360,000 for sports courts, and $280,000 for surrounding improvements including concrete, landscaping, and lighting. Funding derives from a Weber County RAMP grant combined with the District's budgeted construction allotment. Installation is scheduled for Summer/Fall 2026.
Evaluation will be conducted in two phases: technical scoring (experience weighted at 200 points, design quality at 500 points, cost at 300 points) with responsive proposals scoring at least 700 points advancing to an interview presentation worth 500 additional points. A one-year warranty inspection is required following substantial completion. All submissions must be made exclusively through U3P/Bonfire with a 1 gigabyte single-file upload limit. Award notification will be communicated directly by Taylor West Weber Park District, not posted on the Division of Purchasing website.
