About this opportunity

Collier County, Florida is pursuing a sole source procurement from LiquidSpring LLC for specialized fleet management components specifically targeting the county's ambulance fleet. The procurement involves acquiring parts, services, warranties, and freight for 46 ambulances, with 34 vehicles requiring a unique rear suspension system manufactured exclusively by LiquidSpring. The county's Procurement Services Division has issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source, seeking to establish a contract from November 1, 2024, to September 30, 2027. The procurement is critically focused on maintaining mission-critical safety services by ensuring compatible suspension components that cannot be substituted with alternative vendors. Interested parties are invited to submit alternative vendor information through the Collier County Procurement Services Division Online Bidding System by Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 3:00 pm, with the understanding that this is not a formal bid or quote request and pricing information should not be provided.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations, with the sole source justification based entirely on the specialized and incompatible nature of LiquidSpring's suspension components. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are explicitly mentioned beyond LiquidSpring LLC. The existing infrastructure involves 46 ambulances, with 34 requiring the specialized suspension system, suggesting a targeted technological integration requirement. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the documentation, the procurement covers parts, services, warranties, and freight for a three-year period, indicating a potentially significant financial commitment. The sole source designation underscores the critical nature of these components for maintaining the county's ambulance fleet's operational readiness and safety standards.
