About this opportunity

Collier County is conducting a single source procurement for Methadone Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Services to address the opioid epidemic, utilizing Florida Opioid Settlement Funding. The procurement specifically targets prevention, treatment, and recovery services for Collier County residents, with Metro Treatment of Florida, LP doing business as New Season Treatment Center identified as the sole state-approved provider of these services. The contract period is scheduled from May 9, 2025, to September 30, 2028. The procurement process requires potential respondents to provide documentation if they believe alternative qualified sources exist for the identified services. The submission deadline is Friday, May 16, 2025, at 3:00 pm, with the Procurement Services Division retaining sole authority to determine the approved status of any alternative providers. This procurement is not a traditional bid or quote solicitation, and respondents are explicitly instructed not to provide pricing information.

The procurement appears to be a targeted, restricted procurement with no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises mentioned. New Season Treatment Center is the incumbent and proposed sole source vendor for methadone medication services in Collier County. The procurement is unique in that it is limited to a state-approved agency capable of providing methadone medications, effectively restricting potential respondents. While no specific budget range is detailed in the documentation, the procurement is funded through Florida Opioid Settlement Funding, suggesting significant public health investment. The contract's focus on addressing the opioid epidemic through medication-assisted treatment indicates a specialized service with potentially complex clinical and regulatory requirements. The procurement's structure suggests a highly targeted approach to providing critical substance abuse treatment services within Collier County.
