About this opportunity
Alpine School District is pursuing a sole source procurement for private nursing services through Maxim Healthcare Staffing, as outlined in their Notice of Intent to Award contract without engaging in a standard competitive procurement process. The procurement is specifically for private nursing services, with a Statement of Work detailing the required vendor prerequisites and specific service expectations. The procurement appears to be justified under Utah Procurement Code provisions that allow non-competitive awards when there is only one source, transitional costs are significant, or standard procurement would be impractical. The Notice of Intent to Award was posted on July 30, 2025, with responses due by August 8, 2025. Key documents including vendor prerequisites, terms and conditions, and a detailed statement of work were included in the procurement package, suggesting comprehensive requirements for the nursing services procurement.
The procurement appears to be limited to Maxim Healthcare Staffing as the sole source vendor, with no explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types mentioned in the available documents. The Statement of Work (ASD07292025AG.pdf) likely contains specific qualifications and requirements for nursing service providers, though the exact budget range or award value was not explicitly stated in the provided materials. The procurement seems focused on specialized nursing staffing services, potentially for educational or healthcare support within the Alpine School District. The vendor prerequisites document (Part 8) and terms and conditions suggest a structured approach to vendor selection and contract management. While the exact scope and financial details are not fully disclosed, the documents indicate a structured procurement process aimed at securing specialized nursing staffing services through a direct award to Maxim Healthcare Staffing.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT WITHOUT ENGAGING IN A STANDARD PROCUREMENT PROCESS Alpine School District, Purchasing Department, publishes this notice pursuant to the Utah Procurement Code. The Conducting Procurement Unit submitted this form to the Purchasing Department claiming that it intends to award a contract without competition if it is determined by the Purchasing Department, in writing, that: - there is only one source for the procurement item; - transitional costs are a significant consideration in selecting a procurement item; or - the award of a contract is under circumstances, described in rules adopted by the applicable rulemaking authority, that make awarding the contract through a standard procurement process impractical and not in the best interest of the procurement unit. In the Files section the Conducting Procurement Unit has identified its justification for wanting to award a contract without engaging in standard procurement process. You MUST read all of the documentation in the Files.
