About this opportunity
Alpine School District is seeking to award a private nursing services contract to Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. through a sole source procurement process, as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. The procurement involves private nursing services for the school district, with a specific focus on healthcare staffing and support. The Statement of Work indicates comprehensive nursing service requirements, likely encompassing student health support, medical staffing, and related healthcare assistance. The notice of intent to award was published on August 13, 2025, with a response deadline of August 20, 2025. Key documentation, including the Statement of Work and vendor prerequisites, suggests a rigorous selection process that evaluates vendor qualifications, compliance with district standards, and ability to provide specialized healthcare services within an educational environment.
The procurement appears to be open to healthcare service providers, with no explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises noted in the available documentation. While Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is the intended sole source vendor, the documents suggest potential integration with existing district healthcare infrastructure and technology systems. A secondary document referencing Rubicon Health Services indicates potential alternative or complementary service providers. Although specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed in the provided materials, the comprehensive nature of the nursing services procurement suggests a significant financial commitment. The district's procurement approach emphasizes thorough vendor vetting, with prerequisites and terms and conditions that likely include background checks, professional certifications, and compliance with educational healthcare regulations.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT WITHOUT ENGAGING IN A STANDARD PROCUREMENT PROCESS Alpine School District, Purchasing Department, publishes this notice pursuant to the Utah Procurement Code. The Conducting Procurement Unit submitted this form to the Purchasing Department claiming that it intends to award a contract without competition if it is determined by the Purchasing Department, in writing, that: - there is only one source for the procurement item; - transitional costs are a significant consideration in selecting a procurement item; or - the award of a contract is under circumstances, described in rules adopted by the applicable rulemaking authority, that make awarding the contract through a standard procurement process impractical and not in the best interest of the procurement unit. In the Files section the Conducting Procurement Unit has identified its justification for wanting to award a contract without engaging in standard procurement process. You MUST read all of the documentation in the Files.
