About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation's Florida's Turnpike Enterprise is hosting an Industry Forum on December 13, 2022, regarding its SunTrax Automated/Connected Vehicle Test Facility operator project. The Department anticipates procuring the services of an operator in 2023 to assist with operations at the SunTrax facility, which is a large-scale, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the research, development, and testing of emerging transportation technologies in safe and controlled environments. The Industry Forum will provide interested firms the opportunity to learn more about the upcoming operator procurement, including a site tour, a presentation by the Department, and a question-and-answer session. Individual breakout sessions with the Department will also be available but must be pre-scheduled by December 6, 2022.

The notice does not provide details on any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor does it list any incumbent vendors or current contractors. The notice also does not specify any possible award values or budget ranges for the operator project. However, the Department is seeking to procure the services of an operator to assist with operations at the SunTrax facility, which suggests that the contract opportunity may have a significant value, though the exact amount is not disclosed.
