About this opportunity

The Texas Department of Transportation, Wichita Falls District, is requesting bids on cable safety system accessories, brackets, lock plates, and socketed line posts (Gibraltar Manufacturing products) for repairs to damaged cable safety systems under IFB 601310000101983, with bids due June 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM Central Time. The solicitation is advertised under Texas Government Code 2155.067 as proprietary to one provider, though TxDOT encourages responses from all qualified vendors offering items conforming exactly to specifications.

The scope comprises three line items totaling 1,080 units: 360 hairpin cable brackets for 3-cable systems (part 4-HPIN TL-4); 360 lock plates (1/8" × 1-1/2" × 21-3/8", part 4-LOCK TL-4); and 360 socketed line posts (2.5" × 3.25" × 4'9", part 4-LNP-S TL-4). All items are measured in individual units. Pricing must be submitted on a firm, fixed basis with unit prices and extended quantities; freight charges must be included in unit pricing and prepaid. Prices are F.O.B. destination; TxDOT is exempt from state, local, and federal excise taxes and vendors should exclude these from bids.

Delivery is required between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1601 Southwest Parkway, Wichita Falls, TX 76302. Award will be based on lowest price and the respondent's ability to meet requirements. No minimum quantity guarantees apply, and TxDOT reserves the right to obtain products from other sources during the contract term. The tentative award date is June 22, 2026. Questions are due June 5, 2026, with TxDOT responses posted by June 9, 2026. Respondents must be registered on the Centralized Master Bidders List maintained by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts with appropriate NIGP codes. Submissions require execution of bid certification and Texas Family Code Schedule certification. No insurance, performance bonds, financial requirements, or HUB subcontracting plans apply.
