About this opportunity
The Chicago Park District is soliciting applications for inclusion on a Preferred Professionals List for catering services, event rental supply services, and event production services at Special Event Venues, with applications due September 25, 2026. Selected firms will be eligible to provide these services on a routine basis in exchange for commission payments to the Park District.
The scope encompasses three service categories: catering (food and beverage), event rental supply (tents, furniture, and related items), and event production services (event planning and coordination). Firms may apply for one or more service categories to support events hosted at the Park District's Special Event Venues, which range from small gatherings such as birthday parties to large corporate and nonprofit affairs.
The application process does not establish individual contract awards or pricing terms. Rather, applicants selected for the List gain eligibility to provide services to Park District clients on a preferred basis, with compensation derived from commissions paid by the firms themselves to the Park District. The full application requirements, evaluation criteria, and detailed program terms are contained in the Application Package (File 00).
Opportunity text
The Chicago Park District ("Park District ") has many unique spaces, known as Special Event Venues ("SEV") that host special events of almost every type and size, such as birthday parties, weddings, and both corporate and non-profit affairs. These events may require catering (e.g. food and beverage), rental supply (e.g. tents and furniture), and event production services (e.g. planning and coordination). To accommodate the needs of clients who intend to rent a SEV to host their event, the Park District seeks to establish a concise, but comprehensive List of Preferred Professionals ("List") that would be eligible to provide these services on a routine basis in exchange for commission payment by firm to the Park District. Accordingly, the Park District invites interested and experienced firms to submit their application for consideration for inclusion on the List. Please see the Application Package (File 00) for further detail.
