About this opportunity
The Long Beach Public Utilities Department is requesting quotations for "NO PARKING" signs with quotations due September 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., and questions due September 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A 10% bid price reduction applies to Long Beach-based businesses meeting specified criteria for evaluation purposes only (actual payment reflects the quoted price if awarded).
The scope comprises two sign types, both 14" x 22": 20-point white chipboard with 2-color print and 20-point white styrene with 2-color print, packaged in kraft wrap with labels in packs of 100 signs per unit. Bidders must have provided "NO PARKING" signs for at least three years and carry comprehensive general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and workers' compensation insurance as required by California law.
Award is based on unit prices and percentage discounts; quantities are not considered in the award determination. LBPUD reserves the right to purchase different quantities depending on operational needs, to award separate contracts for individual items, or to exclude items at its discretion. The department does not guarantee minimum order quantities or that all items will be ordered during the contract term but reserves the right to purchase miscellaneous items not listed at unit prices not exceeding $5,000 per order.
The contract term is twelve months with options for two additional one-year renewal periods by mutual agreement. Delivery is required within five business days of order placement to either the Water Warehouse (1731 E. 33rd Street, Long Beach, CA 90807) or Gas Warehouse (2400 E. Spring Street, Long Beach, CA 90806), Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Quoted rates, discounts, and prices must remain firm for one year. Unit prices must exclude sales tax; all other applicable taxes are the bidder's responsibility. Quotations are submitted electronically through the City's Long Beach Buys portal; answers to questions will be posted by September 16, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
