The Add Alternate includes similar improvements over the additional segment. Work is performed along Hunt Avenue in Alamosa, Colorado, and must comply with CDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2025), as modified by project special provisions. Base Bid contract time is 60 working days, with an additional 30 calendar days if the Add Alternate is awarded, for a total potential of 90 calendar days. Project completion is targeted for October 16, 2026, with contractor commencement no later than July 27, 2026. Bidders must submit a 5 percent bid guarantee via bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the bid are required upon award. The contractor must maintain comprehensive insurance including workers' compensation, commercial general liability with $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 general aggregate, and automobile liability with $1,000,000 combined single limit, naming the City of Alamosa and CDOT as additional insureds.
