About this opportunity
The Nevada Department of Administration Purchasing Division is soliciting quarterly meat supplies for the Nevada Youth Training Center through a competitive procurement process. This commodity contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder based on evaluation criteria including location, article qualities, total cost of ownership, specification conformity, intended purpose, and delivery dates. All meat products must be new only, with vendors required to submit descriptive data and printed specifications; alternative items may be considered if they meet or exceed bid specifications, result in lower pricing, and serve the State's best interest. Pricing must be quoted on a Free on Board (FOB) Destination basis with freight prepaid and is irrevocable for the contract term and any extensions. The solicitation was posted on February 26, 2026, with a bid submission deadline of March 20, 2026, using Nevada's eProcurement system (NevadaEPro), where vendors must complete multiple submission tabs including general information, items pricing, terms and conditions acceptance, and required attachments, with all deadlines specified in Pacific Standard Time. Vendors must acknowledge receipt of bids to be added to the notification list for amendments and status updates, and no quotes will be accepted after the stated bid opening date and time.
The State of Nevada offers a five percent price preference to Nevada-based businesses and an additional five percent preference for local businesses owned and operated by veterans with service-connected disabilities on contracts between $50,000 and $250,000. Additionally, the State extends preferences for materials supplied by state charitable, reformatory, or penal institutions. All vendors must comply with OSHA standards and anti-discrimination laws, and must agree not to engage in boycotts of Israel. All goods are subject to full warranties including fitness for particular purpose, merchantability, quality, and conformity to specifications, with title free of liens and encumbrances. Payment from the State will generally occur within 30 to 45 days upon invoice receipt and agency approval, with applicable federal or state taxes to be paid by the State or waived through a tax exemption certificate. While specific budget ranges or award values are not disclosed in the solicitation documents provided, the contract may be awarded for up to two years with potential annual extensions thereafter if conditions for extension are specified in the original bid solicitation and the Purchasing Division determines extension is in the State's best interest.
