About this opportunity

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive responses for the completion of multi-area cultural resource assessments and surveys of its Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) and Wildlife Environmental Areas (WEAs). The intent of the project is to obtain information for interpreting and protecting cultural resources on FWC properties, develop predictive site models, and identify and locate all previously recorded sites and any unrecorded sites. The RFP specifies the required tasks, deliverables, and schedule, with the work to be completed over multiple fiscal years. Respondents must have specific experience and certifications for key personnel, including Project Managers, Principal Investigators, Archaeologists, and Archaeological Technicians. Evaluation criteria include the respondent's experience, technical understanding, project approach, qualifications, and cost. The sealed response is due by September 9, 2022, and the contract will be effective for five years from the date of award.

Subcontracting is not permitted, but joint venture submissions are allowed. The RFP does not indicate any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There is no federal funding involved, and the contractor will not be responsible for identifying or consulting with federally-recognized tribes. The RFP indicates an estimated budget of $900,000 for this project, with the contract to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
