About this opportunity
Mount Pleasant Public Schools is soliciting sealed bid proposals for its 2018 Technology Upgrades project, a capital improvement procurement administered by Ingham County, Michigan. The project encompasses multiple bid divisions for Security, Audio, and Video systems installations across school facilities. Qualified contractors are invited to submit separate prime contract proposals for individual bid divisions or combinations thereof. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and project walk-through will be conducted on March 14, 2018, at 4:00 PM at Vowles Elementary School, with Construction Manager Wolgast Corporation and Architect CommTech Design in attendance. Sealed bids must be received by 2:00 PM on March 22, 2018, at the Mount Pleasant Public Schools Administration Office, with public opening and reading scheduled for 2:05 PM at Kinney Elementary School. All bidders must submit clarification requests through the designated Clarification Request Form directed to Construction Manager Aaron Grove, and the Owner anticipates awarding contracts on or about April 16, 2018. Bidding documents are available via FTP site through Wolgast Corporation, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order.
All bidders are required to provide a sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement in compliance with MCL 380.1267, certifying any familial relationships between the bidder, its employees, and members of the school board, intermediate school board, or superintendent. Successful bidders may be required to furnish additional surety bonds as specified in the project specifications. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the bid date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in bid proposals at its discretion. No specific budget range or award value is listed in the procurement documents; however, contract awards will be made to separate prime contractors for individual bid divisions based on competitive sealed bidding evaluation. No incumbent vendors, set-aside designations, or disadvantaged enterprise restrictions are identified in the procurement notice.
