About this opportunity
The State of Rhode Island, through Ocean State Procures and the Division of Purchases, is seeking qualified vendors for a Master Price Agreement (MPA) for Moving Services through an Open Enrollment Vendor Assessment (OEV). This solicitation (OEV25005494) covers a comprehensive range of moving services, including commercial office relocations, household/residential relocations, library moves, storage services, and related logistical support. The contract period is anticipated to run from approximately July 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026, with vendors being evaluated on a pass/fail basis for inclusion on a qualified vendor list. Vendors must submit responses electronically through Ocean State Procures by May 21, 2025, and complete a detailed vendor certification questionnaire. Evaluation will focus on operational capabilities, insurance coverage, financial stability, and ability to meet comprehensive service requirements. When specific moving projects arise, participating agencies will issue mini-bids to vendors on the qualified list, with a requirement to obtain competitive quotes.
The procurement is open to state agencies, quasi-governmental organizations, Rhode Island municipalities, and Legislative and Judicial branches, with a specific emphasis on minority business enterprise (MBE) participation. Vendors must provide proof of $1,000,000 in general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and commit to obtaining at least one quote from an MBE/WBE/VBE certified vendor for each project. A mandatory 1% contract administrative fee will be withheld from invoices, and vendors must comply with state regulations regarding equal opportunity, political contributions, and business practices. While no specific contract value is guaranteed, the open enrollment approach allows multiple vendors to qualify for potential moving service opportunities across various state and local entities. Potential respondents should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive moving capabilities, financial stability, and a commitment to diverse business practices to be considered for inclusion on the qualified vendor list.
