About this opportunity

Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM) has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for miscellaneous repairs across three specific areas: the Administration porch posts and supporting structure, a dormer leak at the Breckinridge Office, and the Visitor's Center wall. The procurement is located in Calvert County, Maryland, and seeks a qualified contractor to furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and services to complete the specified repairs. Bidders must submit a comprehensive package including a completed IFB, Bid/Proposal Affidavit, Conflict of Interest Affidavit, professional licenses/certifications, company insurance certificates, and acknowledgment of any amendments. The bid opportunity is open from March 12, 2025, with proposals due by April 11, 2025. Contractors are required to provide detailed cost estimates for each repair section, including the Administration porch, Breckinridge Office leak repairs, Visitor's Center wall repairs, and an optional budget for additional siding, gutter, downspout, and drainage work. JPPM will consider bids non-responsive if they lack required documentation, are received after the deadline, or do not include a completed IFB.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, contractors must meet professional qualifications and provide comprehensive documentation to be considered. The bid includes a provision for contractors to include a 10 percent contingency in their total cost estimate, suggesting flexibility in project scope and potential budget adjustments. The total project budget is not explicitly stated, but the scope involves repairs across multiple buildings and structures at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum. Bidders will be evaluated based on their ability to meet technical specifications, provide comprehensive documentation, and offer competitive pricing for the required repairs. The project appears to be a targeted maintenance and repair initiative focused on preserving and improving the infrastructure of the park's key buildings, with potential for additional optional work beyond the primary repair specifications.
