About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for MIP Thermometer Magnets, with quotations due December 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. local time through the State's Vendor Self Service (VSS) platform.
The product is a thermometer calibration reminder magnet for distribution by the Maine Immunization Program. The magnet displays a blank field for recording recalibration dates and includes contact information for the Maine Immunization Program, including a toll-free number and website. The specification requires sufficient durability and print quality to serve as a tracking and compliance tool for healthcare facilities and immunization providers managing vaccine storage cold-chain protocols.
A recycled-content price preference applies: paper or paper-product bids containing a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled material that fall within 10% of the lowest compliant bid receive up to a 10% price preference adjustment. Vendors must explicitly indicate recycled bids and disclose recycled content in the comments section of their response.
Quotations must include unit pricing for each item. The State of Maine reserves the right to award based on the lowest priced conforming quotation or on a combination of factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery time, and total cost to the State, with price receiving a minimum of 25% weight. All purchases are FOB Destination with transportation charges prepaid by the successful bidder. The State's standard payment terms are net 30 from receipt of a correct invoice. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, partially accept quotations, increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent, and extend the contract period beyond the initial expiration date with contractor consent, with a maximum total contract period not to exceed three years. Vendor past performance may be considered in award determination. All bidders must submit quotations electronically through VSS and accept the State's standard terms and conditions by submitting a response.
