About this opportunity

The Suwannee River Water Management District is seeking bids for the Mill Creek South #10 Timber Sale, a fourth row select thinning of 23-year-old longleaf pine on approximately 124 acres divided into two blocks in Marion County, Florida. Approximately 30% of the harvest area has been marked, with the remaining acreage being a logger select thinning. The District is looking for a Master Logger with a current designation to perform the harvest, and bidders must complete and submit the enclosed Timber Sale Bid Form. The 12-month contract includes an advance payment of $10,000 and a damage/security deposit of $10,000, with the winning bidder paid based on per-unit rates for pine timber harvested. Bids are due by 11:00 AM EDT on April 21, 2022, and the winning bidder will be expected to enter into the contract within 10 days of the award. The District reserves the right to refuse any and all bids, and bidders must comply with the District's Best Management Practices, avoid disturbance to threatened or endangered species, and follow the District's requirements for equipment cleaning and spill prevention.

The procurement is not subject to any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The ITB does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The ITB does not provide a specific award value or budget range, but the contract will be awarded to the winning bidder based on the proposed per-unit rates for pine timber harvested.
