About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single-source procurement for Mesa Laboratories, Inc. ViewPoint facility operation and maintenance management software maintenance for the Division of Food Safety. This procurement involves a comprehensive hardware and software expansion, specifically requesting (21) Temp Kits, (57) Dual Temp Kits, (2) Cryo Kits, (4) Dual Cryo Kits, (2) Pyro Kits, (4) Temp Humi Kits, (7) Access Points, and (60) AC Adapters. The procurement requires onsite installation, training, and IQOQ system validation, with a critical objective of replacing aging hardware in labs 9 and 10 and adding temperature monitoring systems to currently unequipped labs. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these commodities or services must submit relevant information to the contact person by May 6, 2025. The procurement is specifically for Leon County and will involve replacing the existing Smart-Vue temperature monitoring system while maintaining compatibility with the current ViewPoint software to avoid additional licensing expenses. The primary goal is to ensure precise temperature control for maintaining the integrity of food samples, microbiological samples, and chemical reference standards.
This procurement is a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement for a single-source procurement, which means there are no explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. The current incumbent is Mesa Laboratories, Inc., and the procurement will integrate with the existing ViewPoint temperature monitoring software infrastructure. The estimated total budget for this single-source procurement is up to $200,000.00, with an approximate contract amount of $109,945.55. If the Department determines after reviewing submitted information that the commodities or services are available only from a single source, they will post a notice of intended agreement on the Vendor Information Portal pursuant to Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes. The procurement is specifically designed to leverage existing software licenses and technological investments, minimizing additional expenses while upgrading critical temperature monitoring capabilities across multiple laboratory environments.
