About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, specifically for Mesa Laboratories, Inc. ViewPoint facility operation and maintenance management software maintenance. The procurement seeks a comprehensive hardware and software expansion for the Division of Food Safety, including (21) Temp Kits, (57) Dual Temp Kits, (2) Cryo Kits, (4) Dual Cryo Kits, (2) Pyro Kits, (4) Temp Humi Kits, (7) Access Points, (60) AC Adapters, and various other supporting equipment. The document is posted on 04/15/2025 with a last day for receipt of information on 05/06/2025, and includes onsite installation, training, and IQOQ system validation.
The estimated total budget for this single-source procurement is up to $200,000.00, with an approximate contract amount of $109,945.55. The justification for the single-source acquisition stems from the Division of Food Safety's current license for the latest ViewPoint temperature monitoring software, which requires replacing aging hardware in labs 9 and 10 and adding temperature monitoring systems to labs without current capabilities. The procurement aims to replace the existing Smart-Vue temperature monitoring system and leverage compatibility with the existing ViewPoint software to avoid additional licensing expenses. The purchase is critical for maintaining the integrity of food samples, microbiological samples, and chemical reference standards by ensuring precise temperature control.

The Division of Food Safety currently has a license for the latest version of the ViewPoint temperature monitoring software by Mesa Labs. This purchase will replace the aging, obsolete ViewPoint hardware that has begun to fail in labs 9 and 10. This purchase will also add ViewPoint hardware to lab which, does not currently have a temperature monitoring system.
This purchase will replace the Smart-Vue temperature monitoring system in labs 3 and 4.
The ViewPoint hardware is only compatible with the ViewPoint temperature monitoring system.
Purchasing an equivalent system from another vendor would require the purchase of both the hardware and the software license. By using the ViewPoint hardware, we avoid the additional expense of purchasing a software license.
