About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Consumer Services, has issued an RFI (2627-01) seeking vendor information on mediation services to address workload increases from natural and other disasters, with responses due October 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET. This is an information-gathering exercise only — no contract will be awarded in response to this submission.
The Department is exploring feasibility of maintaining a pool of qualified professional mediators to handle cases exceeding capacity of DCS-approved mediators for residential property, commercial residential property, automobile, and Continuing Care Retirement Community disputes. Vendors should provide information on capacity to maintain such a pool, proposed costs, and any additional relevant information.
All costs will be paid on a per-case basis by insurance companies whose insureds utilize the mediation program; the state allocates no funds for augmented capacity. Vendors bear all costs associated with RFI response preparation and any potential meetings. The Department reserves the right to issue one or more competitive solicitations based on RFI responses and may request vendor presentations. Responding to this RFI does not guarantee a contract nor prevent vendors from responding to related subsequent solicitations.
Written questions or comments must be submitted by October 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET to the contact person identified in the RFI. Responses to submitted questions will be posted on the Vendor Information Portal at vendor.myfloridamarketplace.com on or about October 15, 2026. Vendor responses should be emailed to DFSpurchasing@myfloridacfo.com. All RFI responses become exclusive property of the Department and may be disclosed under public records law; vendors may designate trade secret materials for redaction if properly documented.
