Broward College, a Florida community college system institution, issued Request for Qualifications (RFQ) RFQ-2026-002-OA on February 16, 2026, to solicit qualified engineering firms to provide comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering services on an as-needed continuing contract basis across its multiple campuses, centers, and facilities throughout Broward County. The scope of work encompasses full professional services including planning, preliminary study designs, construction documents, and building services engineering for HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, power distribution, telecommunications, fire alarm systems, lighting protection, and control systems, with individual project construction costs estimated up to $7,500,000. The solicitation follows a three-phase evaluation process consisting of Phase I (shortlist meeting), Phase II (interviews and presentations if necessary), and Phase III (contract negotiations if necessary), with evaluation criteria including quality of service, personnel performance and workmanship, timeliness and responsiveness, overall performance, customer service, ability to meet deadlines and budgets, technical expertise, staff interaction, and likelihood of future engagement.
