About this opportunity
The State of Nevada, through the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries Division, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an eradication plan for the McDermitt Basin LCT Recovery Project. The goal of this project is to coordinate, develop, and undertake a large-scale, non-native fish eradication within the McDermitt Creek drainage to facilitate the successful reestablishment of the threatened Lahontan Cutthroat Trout to its historic habitat. The scope of work includes assessing previous recovery efforts, surveying the drainage, developing a preliminary treatment plan, and overseeing the implementation of the eradication plan. Key deliverables include a Basin Assessment Report, Basin Survey & Feasibility Report, Preliminary Project Plan, Implementation Plan, and On-site Implementation and Coordination. The contract will be awarded to the vendor that best meets the state's needs based on evaluation criteria, including cost proposals, which will be evaluated using a formula that considers the lowest cost submitted. Proposals are due by July 9, 2024, and the state intends to award one contract with an estimated term of three years, subject to Board of Examiners' approval.
The RFP indicates the state has a preference for Nevada-based businesses and an inverse preference for vendors from states that apply in-state preferences not afforded to Nevada businesses. No specific set-asides or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond are mentioned. The RFP does not provide information on any incumbent vendors or contractors, or the current budget or award value range for this project. The state requires detailed financial information, business references, and information about any subcontractors, which will be kept confidential.
