About this opportunity
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking responsive and responsible bidders to provide a full service document scanning solution for its Office of Health Services (OHS). The scope of work includes imaging/scanning, indexing, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and secure handling and destruction of approximately 5 million documents related to the MBTA's Employee Assistance Program, Workers' Compensation, and Medical/Clinic records. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience and technical capabilities in handling confidential medical information, as well as provide details on their quality management processes, hardware/software, facilities, security measures, project plan, and timeline. The MBTA will host a pre-bid conference on January 3, 2019, and proposals are due by January 31, 2019. The MBTA anticipates awarding the contract on February 26, 2019, with a service start date of April 1, 2019. The contract may include options for renewal.
The MBTA has a policy to ensure participation of certified small, minority, women, and other disadvantaged businesses. No incumbent vendors or budget information are provided. The MBTA requires bidders to submit pricing per image as well as an all-inclusive project total, and reserves the right to select the best value proposal, which may not necessarily be the lowest priced.
