About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Conservation is requesting quotations for a master agreement to supply Fechheimer Flying Cross Public Safety jackets under RFQ 1577, with bids due March 17, 2011. Substantive questions are due 48 hours before the deadline. Vendors are subject to a mandatory 1% anti-sweatshop compliance fee applied to the total contract value, payable within 30 days of purchase order execution or quarterly for term contracts.

The scope is approximately 50 Fechheimer Flying Cross Public Safety #79905GTX jackets in forest green, featuring Gore-Tex waterproof/breathable construction, zip-out Thinsulate insulation liner, articulated sleeves, multiple pockets, and reflective panels. Sizing ranges from extra-small to 5X-large in short, regular, and long lengths. The contract term is one year effective immediately through March 31, 2012, with two optional one-year renewals.

All pricing must be firm and all-inclusive with transportation fully prepaid, FOB destination. The State accepts the Maine Procurement Card as the sole payment method with no surcharges permitted. Delivery must occur within 10 working days of order receipt, with items inspected and in first-class condition; vendors retain responsibility for replacing defective items. Vendors must submit notarized Code of Conduct affidavits certifying compliance with all applicable wage, health, labor, environmental, safety, and discrimination laws, as well as human and labor rights treaty obligations. Affidavits must be faxed to Sue Garcia at 207-287-6578 by the bid opening date and time. In the event of tied bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10 percent and to consider approved equivalent products at its discretion.
