About this opportunity

Marysville Public Schools is soliciting sealed bids for the 2026 Practice Field Rehabilitation Project at Marysville High School, a maintenance and improvement contract for natural grass athletic field restoration. The project scope encompasses aeration, topdressing, overseeding, lawn maintenance, and irrigation adjustments to the practice field. Bid documents are available from Foresite Design, Inc., the project architect, with inquiries directed to Mike Sims (mike@foresitedesign.com) or Christy O'Berry (christy@foresitedesign.com), with documents becoming available on or after April 22, 2026. Sealed bids in duplicate must be submitted to Marysville Public Schools, Attn: Ms. Jennifer McKay, 495 E. Huron Blvd., Marysville, MI 48040, no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, with public bid opening occurring at the same time and location at the Marysville Public School's Administration Building. All bids must include sworn and notarized disclosure statements addressing familial relationships with school board members or the superintendent, Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit of Compliance, Non-Collusive Affidavit, and Criminal Background-Sex Offender Affidavit, and must remain firm for ninety days following submission. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and may award the contract based on factors other than the lowest financial bid.

Bidders must furnish a bid bond executed by a Treasury-listed surety company in the amount of at least 5% of the bid sum or an equivalent cashier's check with each submission. Successful bidders submitting bids of $50,000 or more must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds by a Treasury-listed surety in the amount of 100% of their bid, with bond costs included in the bid price. All materials and supplies becoming permanent parts of the project are subject to Michigan State Sales Tax and Use Tax, which must be included in the bid price. The procurement documents do not identify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, or specific organizational restrictions beyond the standard bonding and compliance requirements. The contract value threshold for enhanced bonding requirements is $50,000, though no specific overall budget range or award value is explicitly stated in the available documentation.
