The scope encompasses furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and supervision for ongoing maintenance and emergency response — including mowing, vegetation extraction, silt removal, herbicide spraying, tree removal, and grading. The District will solicit itemized, firm fixed-price estimates from the awarded vendor(s) on an as-needed basis; the vendor must provide site estimates within five working days of request and complete authorized work within ten days of notice to proceed. All equipment must be listed in the bid proposal and is subject to inspection by the District's Environmental Coordinator. Properly trained and licensed equipment operators are mandatory. Personnel with school access require Level 2 background clearance under the Jessica Lunsford Act. State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) under the Florida Building Code apply.

The estimated annual contract value is approximately $450,000. The contract runs September 22, 2026 through September 21, 2027, with two renewal options available for additional one-year periods by mutual consent and District unilateral extension rights for up to three additional thirty-day periods. Price escalation at renewal is capped at the previous year's Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) and must be requested in writing at least 60 days prior to expiration.

The District will award to a maximum of two responsive and responsible bidders with the lowest pricing and reserves the right to award by line item, section, or aggregate total as most advantageous. Bidders must demonstrate five years of continuous business licensing under the same legal entity and documented experience on at least three comparable projects within the last five years. Equal preference applies to Florida-based suppliers.
