About this opportunity

The Tampa Sports Authority issued ITB 25-14 for Lot C Water Redundancy Project at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, with bids due May 19, 2026; however, the ITB was cancelled effective May 13, 2026, and this procurement is no longer active.

Prior to cancellation, the scope involved installing a second redundant potable water main connection and reduced pressure zone assembly from a new city water main at the corner of North Himes Avenue and West Tampa Bay Boulevard, with isolation valves for each potable water connection. The work included approximately 144 linear feet each of private 12-inch PVC water line and 12-inch PVC fire line with connections to existing 12-inch domestic and fire water mains via tapping sleeves and valves, a private backflow prevention device, meter assembly pad extension, and a private double detector check valve assembly. The project site is Raymond James Stadium, 4201 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida. Construction was scheduled June 16 through July 3, 2026, with a critical water shutdown period June 26–28. Work hours were restricted to Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. without extended permission. The laydown area was Lot C.

The contract was to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. A 5% bid bond was required at submission; upon award, the contractor was to provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract sum. Insurance requirements included workers' compensation (Florida statutory), commercial general liability ($1 million combined single limit), and automobile liability ($1 million combined single limit). Liquidated damages were $1,000 per calendar day for failure to achieve substantial completion and $700 per calendar day for failure to achieve final completion. All prices were quoted F.O.B. Tampa, Florida, with the Authority tax-exempt. The pre-bid conference was scheduled May 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Raymond James Stadium, Entrance B/C; questions were due May 14, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. to bids@tampasportsauthority.com.
