About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Department of Airports is requesting sealed bids for the LNA Southside Redevelopment Program Phase 3, with bids due October 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM, a pre-bid conference on September 15 at 10:00 AM, and a mandatory site visit at 1:00 PM the same day at Palm Beach Park Airport, 2633 Lantana Road, Lake Worth Beach.
The scope encompasses expansion of an existing airfield electrical vault by approximately 2,500 square feet, including interior renovation and roof replacement; modifications to existing HVAC and Fire Protection systems; relocation of regulators and ALCMS control systems; installation of fiber optic cable, power and communication wiring; and a standby emergency power generator replacement as an additive alternate bid item. All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed under Florida law at the time of bid submission.
No mandatory Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal has been established under the interim final rule effective October 3, 2025; however, Palm Beach County encourages participation by all qualifying firms, including Small Business Concerns and DBEs. Bid security of not less than 5% of the bid price is required in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or bid bond. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price and comprehensive insurance coverage are required.
Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the base bid plus any County-selected alternates. The award recommendation will be posted for a five-business-day protest period prior to Board of County Commissioners approval. Contract documents are available for download through the County's Vendor Self-Service Website beginning September 7, 2026; secure drawings are available through AECOM (Debbie Williams, 561-684-3375, debbie.williams@aecom.com) upon completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon Act compliance, federal fair labor standards, Civil Rights Act Title VI provisions, Build America Buy America Act requirements, and 2 CFR Part 200 audit standards.
