About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - Department of Highways, is seeking bids for lift station pumping services at the Hancock County Maintenance Facility. The selected vendor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of approximately 1,200 gallons of sewage waste per trip, with the requirement to pump the waste from the tank at least every 7-8 days until pump station repairs are completed. The service will be provided to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 2 - Hancock County Maintenance Storage Facility, with billing to the KYTC District 2 - Madisonville District Office. Pricing is based on a unit cost per gallon for the estimated 229,000 gallons of waste to be removed. The contract will be awarded to the responsive bidder offering the best value, with 90% of the evaluation criteria based on price and 10% on the vendor's years of experience. Bids are due by April 3, 2024 at 1:30 PM ET.

The solicitation includes preferences for Kentucky resident bidders and qualified bidders as per Kentucky statutes. No Federal Excise Tax, Kentucky Sales or Use Tax should be included in the quoted prices. Bidders must submit an Affidavit attesting that they have not knowingly violated campaign finance laws of Kentucky, and provide documentation to support any claims of resident bidder or qualified bidder status. The initial contract period is one year, with four optional one-year renewal periods.
