About this opportunity
The Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the update and modernization of its existing Library Programming Virtual Catalog. This catalog service allows programmers and performers to create profiles and provides libraries and partner organizations with a central, searchable database of programming options by category, name, audience ages, or price. The goal of this RFI is to make the catalog easier to use for programmers, librarians, and CLC staff, as well as add new features to the platform. The RFI is open to all vendors, with a response period from May 7 to May 24, 2021. Interested parties can submit questions during this timeframe and should contact Jacqueline Cashin at the CLC for any inquiries. The RFI does not specify any estimated total value, pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, or funding requirements.
This RFI is focused on improving the functionality and user experience of the existing Library Programming Virtual Catalog, which is a critical resource for libraries across the state of Connecticut, particularly in Middlesex County. While the RFI is open to all vendors, it does not include any details on the types of organizations that can respond or any potential set-aside designations. Additionally, no information is provided on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor is there any indication of a budget range or award value for the modernization project.
