About this opportunity

The City of Barnesville, Georgia is seeking proposals from qualified firms and consultants to assist and provide services to help the City develop an inventory and comply with the U.S. EPA's Lead and Copper Rule Revision (LCRR) for its water system by October 2024. The selected consultant will be required to develop a Service Line Inventory (SLI) with field investigations, a Service Line Replacement Plan (SLRP), and programs for filter pitchers, tap sampling, and public outreach and education. The successful candidate must complete the Service Line Inventory by October 16, 2024 and the Service Line Replacement Plan by the date prescribed by the U.S. EPA. Proposals are due by December 15, 2023 at 10 am, and the City will evaluate proposals based on factors such as familiarity with the community, price competitiveness, completeness of the RFP response, ability to provide the required services, and the capabilities of the staff and subcontractors.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, including Minority and Women Owned Businesses, are encouraged to submit proposals. The City has been awarded a grant from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) to implement the requirements of the LCRR, but the RFP does not specify the award value or budget range for this contract opportunity.
