About this opportunity
The state of Georgia has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Lead and Copper Rule Compliance Assistance services in Lanier County. The Lanier County Utility Authority (LCUA) is seeking qualified firms and consultants to assist in developing an inventory and achieving compliance with the U.S. EPA's Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) by October 2024. The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting field investigations to develop a Service Line Inventory (SLI), creating a Service Line Replacement Plan (SLRP), and implementing tap sampling, filter pitcher, and public education programs to comply with the updated regulations. Bidders must demonstrate familiarity with the community, provide a detailed technical approach, project timeline, and competitive pricing. Evaluation criteria include factors such as completeness of the RFP response, ability to provide the required services, and staff/subcontractor capabilities.
The RFP encourages submissions from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, including Minority and Women-Owned Businesses. The value of the contract is not specified, but the LCUA has received a grant from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) to fund the implementation of the LCRR requirements. Bidders must assist the County Engineer with any required GEFA documentation and comply with all GEFA/State bidding rules and regulations.
