About this opportunity
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is requesting bids on lawn care and grounds maintenance services for six National Guard facilities across the Greensboro region (High Point, Greensboro, Reidsville, Asheboro, Siler City, and Burlington Readiness Centers), with bids due July 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET via the Ariba Sourcing Tool. Mandatory site visits are scheduled for July 7–8, 2026 across all six locations; failure to attend at least one site visit results in bid rejection.
The scope covers year-round mowing, edging, trimming, debris and leaf removal, weed and grass control, and related grounds maintenance to maintain a professional appearance on National Guard-owned property and adjoining highway right-of-ways. The contract anticipates approximately twenty-nine service visits annually (every ten days during March–September growing season, every fifteen days during October–November) with work hours generally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for Readiness Centers and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for Field Maintenance Shop facilities. The vendor provides all equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, and labor. The facility point of contact may determine that services are not required for a period; vendors cannot invoice during those periods.
The initial contract term begins thirty days after execution and runs for one year, with the state retaining renewal options for up to two additional one-year terms. Bidders must submit separate pricing for each of the six locations covering standard visits, mulch application, and leaf removal services using the provided ATTACHMENT A pricing form. Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State, maintain current status in the electronic Vendor Portal, provide three customer references, complete financial certifications, demonstrate HUB participation where possible, and comply with E-Verify and employment authorization requirements. Written questions are due July 10, 2026, with state responses provided by July 15, 2026.
