About this opportunity
The City of Anaheim is requesting bids for landscape maintenance services in the East Service Area of city parks under IFB, with bids due October 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., a mandatory pre-bid meeting and job walk on September 25, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., and a question deadline of September 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Bidders must hold a valid California C-27 Landscaping Contractor license at bid submission — the core eligibility requirement.
The scope covers monthly maintenance at 17 primary park locations and as-needed services at seven nature park sites, encompassing approximately 68 acres of turf maintenance (mowing, fertilization, aerification), weed abatement, plant material installation, and bulk material services across 10–150 acres depending on the specialized service. Excluded are ball-field lighting, playground equipment, and restrooms. Additional required qualifications include Department of Pesticide Regulation licenses, Irrigation Technician Certification, and Department of Industrial Relations registration.
The contract term is one year with optional City renewal for up to four additional one-year periods. Pricing must be firm for the initial year and submitted separately for the East Service Area; all-or-none bids are not accepted unless the City determines otherwise. The pre-bid meeting requires attendance at all six designated sites beginning at Wetlands Nature Park.
Prevailing wage requirements under California Labor Code Section 1773 apply, with rates set by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders must submit a 10% bid bond and proof of insurance: Comprehensive General Liability of $2,000,000/$4,000,000, Auto Liability of $2,000,000, Workers' Compensation as required by statute, and Sexual Abuse & Molestation coverage of $2,000,000/$4,000,000. Labor and Materials and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the awarded annual contract value are due within ten calendar days of award. Award goes to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The City makes no guarantee of quantities and reserves the right to reject bids, make multiple awards, or cancel the solicitation.
