About this opportunity

Kennesaw State University (KSU) is issuing an electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) for comprehensive remediation services across its Kennesaw and Marietta campuses, specifically targeting emergency response and restoration services for damage events involving water, fire, smoke, or mold. The procurement, conducted under the State Purchasing Act, seeks to establish contract(s) with qualified remediation suppliers capable of swift response and thorough restoration services, with the Housing and Residence Life department serving as the primary point of contact. The solicitation aims to secure vendors who can effectively mitigate and rebuild spaces impacted by incidents such as appliance flooding, pipe bursts, leaking systems, sprinkler activations, cooking accidents, and mold growth, with the ultimate goal of minimizing disruption to student housing experiences. The eRFP was posted on September 11, 2025, with proposals due by October 13, 2025. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the provided documentation, the emphasis appears to be on rapid response capabilities, comprehensive service offerings, and the ability to restore affected spaces to their original condition.

The procurement does not explicitly mention set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. All KSU departments and divisions will have access to the awarded contract(s), though the Housing and Residence Life department will serve as the primary requestor due to higher incident rates. The solicitation suggests a multi-vendor approach, indicating that multiple suppliers might be selected to ensure comprehensive coverage across the two campus locations. No specific budget range or award value is provided in the documentation, nor are any incumbent vendors mentioned. The contract will primarily focus on remediation services for student housing environments, with potential expansion to other campus departments as needed. The scope of work implies a need for vendors with robust emergency response capabilities, technical expertise in restoration services, and the capacity to handle various types of damage events across academic and residential facilities.
