About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a Pneumatic Cylinder Overhaul Kit (Contract 2097696) through a purchase order procurement process. The specification calls for overhaul kits designed for pneumatic cylinders, with deliverables required to meet exact drawings, specifications, and technical requirements as verified through seller-conducted inspections and testing prior to delivery. The primary objectives are to procure quality pneumatic cylinder overhaul components suitable for DART's operational needs, with sellers required to provide commercial warranties confirming merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. Key evaluation criteria include adherence to FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall bid price, compliance with specified delivery schedules and timeframes, and invoice accuracy containing purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The opportunity is posted in Dallas County, Texas, with a posting date of January 27, 2026, and a bid due date of February 13, 2026. Bidders must register on the BONFIRE platform to access complete project details and the BidTable, then initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process to view full specifications and vendor response requirements.

The procurement is subject to standard DART Terms and Conditions, which establish Net 30 payment terms with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and payment issued 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later. Sellers must comply with all delivery deadlines, as failure to meet specified delivery times and rates may result in rejection and default termination of the contract. All bids are subject to Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and vendors must certify compliance with the Texas Comptroller's foreign terrorist organization contract list and agree not to boycott Israel during the contract term. DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and any such taxes included on invoices will be deducted from payment amounts. The procurement notice does not specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged or minority-owned enterprises, incumbent vendors, or award value ranges, suggesting this is an open competitive procurement available to all qualified vendors meeting the technical and compliance requirements outlined in the Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document.
