About this opportunity
This state and local contracting opportunity is for an impact evaluation of KIPP Atlanta Schools, a 22-year-old public charter school organization that serves thousands of students in the metro Atlanta area. KIPP Atlanta is seeking a research partner to use publicly available data and de-identified data from partner districts to determine the local impact of KIPP schools and create a report to tell that story. The scope of work includes a study design and feasibility assessment, data collection and cleaning, National Student Clearinghouse data collection, and a final study report. The contract period is from November 2024 through November 2025, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Proposals are due by October 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM ET, and KIPP Atlanta is hopeful the evaluation will come in at $250,000 or less. The RFP outlines the required proposal elements, including an executive summary, company qualifications, financial stability information, service and performance details, responsiveness to KIPP's needs, insurance data, sample agreements, and references.
This is not a rebid project, and KIPP Atlanta plans to partner with the selected research team to determine the specific impact questions to be measured. The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and it does not provide information on any incumbent vendors or current contractors. The RFP also does not specify a budget range, but it does state that KIPP Atlanta is hopeful the evaluation will cost $250,000 or less.
Opportunity text
KIPP Atlanta Schools is 22 years old and has served tens of thousands of students during that time. While we have a ton of data at our fingertips and often are able to tell the impact story with our student performance data, we would like to tell a more holistic and robust story of the impact of attending KIPP for our students and families. National studies have been done on the network-wide impact of attending KIPP schools, and we would like to articulate a similar data narrative for our specific, local impact in metro Atlanta. We are looking for a research partner to help us use publicly available data and de-identified data from partner district(s) to determine the KIPP ATL impact and create a report that will allow us to tell that story.
