About this opportunity

The Kentucky Horse Park, an agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky within the Tourism Arts & Heritage Cabinet, has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for exclusive naming rights sponsorship of the Warm-Up Ring 1 and Ring 2 facilities located at Rolex Stadium in Fayette County. The procurement seeks one corporate or individual sponsor to obtain naming rights for two outdoor competition rings: Ring 1 (174' x 229') located adjacent to Rolex Stadium and Ring 2 (135' x 252') located across Nina Bonnie Boulevard. The Kentucky Horse Park hosts over 200 events annually with more than 1.7 million visitors, including major equestrian competitions and diverse community events. Deliverables and key objectives include exclusive facility naming rights, facility signage at entrances and exits, four logo boards per ring, website recognition with a live link, digital and video board placement, minimum two annual social media posts, discounted meeting space at 25 percent off, and up to ten facility passes annually. Respondents must cover all costs associated with naming rights signage on exterior and interior facilities and must structure their financial commitment as either $50,000 cash annually or $25,000 cash plus $25,000 in-kind products annually. The minimum contract term is two years with two additional optional two-year renewal periods. Technical responses are evaluated on a 100-point scale based on responsiveness to solicitation (20 points), respondent information and background (20 points), and the naming rights response including monetary and items offered (60 points), with a minimum score of 80 points required for consideration. Proposals must be submitted via the Vendor Self Service website by April 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM, and must include a signed cover page, title page with contact information, notarized Required Affidavit for Bidders, Offerors and Contractors, and a brief sponsorship response detailing financial structure, proposed term, proposed facility name, and any additional marketing initiatives or value-added offerings.

The RFP does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to particular categories of enterprises such as disadvantaged or minority-owned businesses, indicating that both corporate and individual sponsors are eligible to respond. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in the procurement documentation. The award value or budget range for this sponsorship opportunity is based on the sponsor's proposed financial commitment structure, which ranges from a minimum of $50,000 annually in cash to alternative arrangements of $25,000 cash plus $25,000 in-kind products annually over the minimum two-year contract term, potentially reaching higher values if sponsors elect to renew during the optional two-year renewal periods. Inquiries regarding the solicitation should be directed to Karla DiNardo at karla.dinardo@ky.gov or the Kentucky Horse Park Purchasing Office at 859-259-4210.
