About this opportunity
The State of Illinois is seeking bids for a 3-year Joint Purchase Master Contract to enable governmental units and qualified not-for-profit agencies to purchase JPMC Steel Tubular Posts on an as-needed basis. The contract will require the successful bidder to provide steel tubular posts, anchors, and omni-directional anchors/sleeves that meet IDOT specifications for material, shape, length, finish, and dimensional tolerances. The posts must be securely bundled and shipped in approximately 2,000 lb bundles, while the anchors and sleeves must be shipped on pallets and in containers. Bids are due by the specified Bid Opening Date, and the total contract term, including any extensions, cannot exceed 10 years. The IFB provides detailed technical specifications and requires pricing to be submitted on a per unit basis, subject to economic adjustments.
The solicitation includes a 4% Business Enterprise Program (BEP) goal for minority, women, and persons with disabilities participation, and the successful bidder must submit a BEP Utilization Plan demonstrating how they will meet this goal. The contract was awarded to the lowest priced responsive and responsible bidder, Decker Supply Co., Inc., whose utilization plan included 4% participation from a certified Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) firm. No other set-asides or participation goals are specified, and the total award value is $1,427,669.08 for the initial 3-year term.
