About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Education is seeking a contractor to develop and align activities for a Joint Referral Collaboration Summit and related regional meetings. The purpose is to promote local community referral agencies towards a family-driven, comprehensive, bidirectional, and cross-sector system to support screening, referral, tracking, and early intervention services for children and families. The selected contractor will be responsible for planning and facilitating a 2.5-day in-person summit in October 2023, as well as five half-day regional meetings in June-July 2023 to continue previous regional workgroup efforts. The contractor must have extensive knowledge of Florida's service providers and early childhood programs, experience in research and facilitating meetings, and the ability to provide recommendations to improve referral processes and coordination between agencies. The total contract amount is not to exceed $87,557, funded through the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five. Proposals are due by April 9, 2023, and vendors have 72 hours from the posting of the addendum to protest any of the requirements.
The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There are also no details provided on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The budget for the regional facilitators is not pre-established, and the RFP states that all tasks outlined shall be reflected in the submitted budget, with no additional funding available.
