About this opportunity
Polk County Conservation is seeking proposals for the Jester Park Nature Center Office Pods project through RFP #2025-002, which calls for the installation of five to ten modular office pods measuring 10'w x 8'd x 8'h within the nature center's administrative workspace. The procurement requires vendors to provide fully configurable office pods with specialized wall options including transparent panels, modesty panels, clerestory windows, and sliding doors, along with integrated or easily adaptable HVAC, electrical, and networking capabilities. Proposers must submit comprehensive documentation detailing layout plans, component specifications, installation requirements, and technical infrastructure integration. The RFP mandates that each pod must accommodate existing furniture configurations while providing sound-dampening and privacy features. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM CST on June 4, 2025, with optional on-site evaluations available from April 7 through May 16, 2025. The anticipated project award date is August 13, 2025, with completion targeted for the same year. Evaluation criteria will likely include vendor qualifications, project methodology, technical approach, and ability to meet specific pod configuration and infrastructure integration requirements.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the RFP includes stringent insurance requirements that vendors must meet, including minimum coverage for general liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability, with Polk County to be named as an additional insured. The project does not specify incumbent vendors or explicitly restrict respondents, suggesting open competition among qualified vendors with demonstrated modular office pod design and installation capabilities. Though a precise budget range is not disclosed, the county reserves the right to select a proposal that best matches project requirements rather than automatically choosing the lowest-cost option. The procurement appears focused on finding a vendor capable of delivering a sophisticated, flexible workspace solution that addresses sound disruption and confidentiality concerns while seamlessly integrating with existing infrastructure. The nature of the project suggests potential award values could be substantial, reflecting the complex technical and design requirements for the five to ten proposed office pods.
