About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) #2025-002 issued by Polk County Conservation for the Jester Park Nature Center Office Pods project in Polk County, Iowa. The RFP seeks proposals for installing between five and ten modular office pods within the Jester Park Nature Center's administrative workspace, with each pod measuring 10'w x 8'd x 8'h. The pods must accommodate existing furniture, integrate with current HVAC, electrical, and networking infrastructure, and offer various wall configuration options including transparent, modesty, and sliding door panels. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM CST on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, with optional on-site evaluations available from April 7 through May 16, 2025. The anticipated award date is August 13, 2025, with project completion targeted for 2025.
The project aims to address workspace challenges at the nature center, specifically reducing disruptive sounds and protecting confidential information. Proposers must submit comprehensive documentation including contact information, qualifications, key personnel details, project methodology, fee structure, and prior relevant project experience. The RFP emphasizes modular, sound-dampening design that allows for flexibility and privacy. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the county reserves the right to select a proposal that best matches the project requirements, not necessarily the lowest-cost option. Insurance requirements are detailed, including minimum coverage for general liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability, with Polk County named as an additional insured.
