About this opportunity

The Port of Corpus Christi Authority is requesting proposals for nightly janitorial services at two facilities totaling approximately 89,000 square feet, with proposals due September 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM and a pre-proposal meeting held September 10, 2026. A local-preference program provides 10 points on a 100-point evaluation scale for businesses headquartered or established in Nueces and San Patricio Counties.

The scope covers daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning at the Executive Administration Building (68,241 square feet, four floors) and the Security Command Center (20,712 square feet, three floors), both in Corpus Christi. The contractor must provide all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, and supplies except paper products, soaps, and can liners. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM at the Administration Building and 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM at the Security Command Center; trash disposal at the Security Command Center is required seven days per week. The contractor must be qualified, experienced, and bonded, with a minimum of three client references for similar work, adequate staffing and supervision capacity, and all cleaning crew members must pass PCCA background checks at least eight hours before reporting.

The initial contract term is three years with no price escalation guaranteed during the initial period, followed by two optional two-year extensions. The contract will be awarded on a best-value basis: background and experience (30 points), benefit to Port Authority (30 points), price (30 points), and local preference (10 points). Insurance requirements include workers' compensation ($1 million each accident), commercial general liability ($1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate), business automobile liability ($1 million), and crime coverage ($100,000), with PCCA named as additional insured. Evaluation is anticipated September 21–25, 2026, with potential consultant interviews on October 20, 2026, followed by Port Commission presentation for award. The proposal must be submitted via the PCCA procurement website.
