About this opportunity

The Town of Landis, North Carolina is requesting qualifications for janitorial services across four municipal facilities—Town Hall, Public Works, the Police Department, and the Fire Hut—with responses due October 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

Routine cleaning frequencies vary by facility: Town Hall and Public Works require two times per week; the Police Department requires weekly service; the Fire Hut requires monthly service. Deep cleaning is scheduled quarterly for Town Hall and semi-annually for the other three facilities. The selected contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies; coordinate with Town staff regarding facility access, security, and scheduling; and perform services in a manner that does not disrupt normal Town operations. Some locations may require after-hours access.

All on-site personnel must submit to background checks prior to beginning work. The contractor must obtain and maintain a Certificate of Insurance with minimum coverage of $1 million naming the Town as an additional insured, along with Workers' Compensation Insurance in compliance with North Carolina law.

Responses must include completed RFQ forms, three client references, a firm narrative describing relevant experience and organizational capacity, property and liability certifications, an independent contractor statement, and a certification regarding lobbying. A facility walk-through is recommended but not mandatory and may be scheduled by contacting Town Clerk Martin at (704) 857-2411, ext. 200.

The Town Council will review submissions on November 5, 2026, with selected firm notification and contract negotiations occurring by November 16, 2026. Compensation, payment terms, and final scope of services will be established through contract negotiations. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all RFQs, request additional information, and waive technicalities as deemed in its best interest. Responses should be marked "Professional Cleaning Services" and delivered to Victoria Martin, Town Clerk, 312 N. Main St, Landis, NC 28088, or emailed to townclerk@townoflandisnc.gov.
