About this opportunity
The State of Maryland, through the State Highway Administration (SHA), is seeking to procure additional SSD storage capacity for the NetApp AFF A300 array at the Glen Burnie data center. This procurement, identified as PORFP No.: J02P4600060, is a Purchase Order Request for Proposals (PORFP) issued under the Hardware Master Contract. The objective is to acquire the additional SSD storage to support new applications requiring SSD performance, as the current system would be unable to accommodate them without the upgrades. The contract deliverables include 2 Jumper Cords, 1 Rail Kit, 2 Mini SAS HD Cables, 1 Disk Shelf, 1 SSD Drive Pack, and 228 ONTAP FlashBundle Add-Ons, as well as 36 months of SupportEdge Support and Standard Professional Services Deployment. Proposals are due by June 21, 2024, and the place of performance is 707 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
This is a Small Business Reserve (SBR) procurement, and a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal of 0% has been established for the installation and training services portion of the contract. The contract is limited to Master Contractors awarded a contract under the Hardware and Associated Equipment and Services 2012 contract, and the Master Contractor must be an authorized reseller for NetApp. The procurement documents do not indicate any listed incumbent vendors or current contractors, and no specific award value or budget range is provided.
Opportunity text
SHA is requesting additional SSD capacity storage for the NetApp AFF A300 array at the Glen Burnie data center to support additional applications requesting SSD performance. If the additional drives are not acquired, SHA wouldn't be able to add any additional applications that require SSD performance to the A300. All new applications will have to go on the FAS systems; this would impact application performance.
